GOBELIN - The Frederiksborg Tapestries
Discover the tapestries of the Great Hall in a special exhibition.
- Where
The exhibition presents the tapestries as both grand historical narratives, a statement of women’s empowerment, and innovative textile art. Behind the looms were women who not only wove, but also planned, organized, and challenged the norms of their time—often in close dialogue with contemporary artists. With dandelions appearing in scenes of war and modern patterns woven into the motifs, they left their mark on both textile and history. Visitors gain insight into an era in which the threads between history and renewal, and between hand and spirit, are tightly interwoven.

Oplev gobelinerne og andre af tidens radikale tekstilværker side om side med skitser, farveprøver, malerier og fotografier. Udstillingen vises i Riddersalen og to tilstødende sale på Frederiksborg.
