Looking for a creative family activity this summer? Visit Frederiksborg and explore hands-on activities inspired by the exhibition GOBELIN – The Frederiksborg Tapestries.

Step into a world of colours, threads and patterns – and try your hand at creative crafts.

In the open workshop on the ground floor, you can explore weaving and embroidery every day from 10 am to 5 pm. Embroider your own postcards inspired by motifs from the museum’s collection and create a personal holiday greeting or a unique summer keepsake. The workshop encourages creativity and reuse, giving leftover yarn and thread a new life in colourful designs.

You can also contribute to a collaborative artwork on the loom, where visitors continuously add new colours, shapes and patterns.
