What’s happening in Hillerød

Frederiksborg Castle is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that access conditions will change for visitors arriving by bus, car, or train. Traffic will be closed in central Hillerød (including access to parking at Frederiksborg Castle) during the following times: Saturday from 2:10 PM to 2:50 PM and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

Special information for visitors arriving by car, bus, or train:

Car and bus: If you have parked at Annaborg/Møntportvejen (the parking area closest to Frederiksborg Castle), Tromlepladsen/Rendelæggerbakken, or Batzkes Bakke Frederiksborg, you will not be able to leave the parking areas until the road closures are lifted.

Train: We recommend taking the train to Hillerød this weekend.

About the route

The cycling race means that a number of roads in and around central Hillerød will be closed to traffic at various times throughout the weekend. On other roads along the race route, motorists will be temporarily held back while the peloton passes by.

The race starts in Roskilde, after which the riders head north towards Frederikssund. From there, the route continues through Hillerød and finishes in Copenhagen.
